Year 4

Welcome to Year 4

This term year 4 are turning to investigating! We are using our inference skills to solve a robbery and write our own ‘who dunnit?’ play scripts about a stolen item. We are thinking about what clues will lead the officers to solving the crime. In maths, we have been looking at fractions, including equivalent fractions, adding and subtracting fractions with the same denominator and finding fractions of amounts. After this, we will be learning about decimal numbers. In science we are just about to start our exciting new topic on electricity. We will be looking at circuits, electrical conductors and how to stay safe. We are continuing to learn our musical instruments and get better at playing the clarinet or the trumpet – we recently learnt the tune to Batman!
