We value feedback and regularly ask for opinions and suggestions through parent surveys. Here you can see highlights from our most recent surveys.

Feedback from a parent following our whole school “Kindness Letter Writing” project in Autumn Term 2.
Below are quotes from some of our parents:

“The teachers at Walter Halls are amazing. They and the teaching assistants have made my children feel so valued and special as well as supported them to make great progress in their learning. Both [children] have made friends with children from all sorts of backgrounds, that is why I sent them to Walter Halls; every day is a life lesson about celebrating and respecting diversity and I'm very grateful for that.”

– Parent of year 6 leaver 2020

“Walter Halls has provided a safe, caring and loving environment for [my child] which has enabled me to continue to do my role during the pandemic… She has loved every day and every single activity - I can never get a word in edge ways when I collect her. This is a huge credit to all the staff who have cared for her throughout. She has got to know many new teachers and loved every one of them!

“I have been greeted with a smile every morning and every afternoon and nothing has been too much trouble. I wouldn’t like to single out too many and name names but Jo and Kerrie have always supported me when they’ve noticed a few tears at morning drop off and knowing there was always someone there to talk to if I needed to helped me to continue. Kerrie has provided exceptional emotional support to [my child] and providing her with her ‘time to talk’ and also phone calls to myself.”

– Key worker parent during school closure 2020

“I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you and everyone at the school for the support over the last few months. It has been exceptional and really helped to ease some of the stress of the girls being off. We were at the year 6 leavers performance yesterday and it was so special. Although not the end to year 6 [my child] had been looking forward to, the efforts of everyone involved made it so memorable... I'm so pleased she got to come back for the last 6 weeks of school. It feels sad that her time at Walter Halls is ending (probably more for me!) but she is looking forward to her new venture at secondary school.”
