Tuesday 5th May - Make some handy art

Overlapping hands

All you need is a piece of paper, colouring pencils, pens, crayons, paint or you could even use magazines, news papers or other coloured paper.

Draw around the hands of everyone in your household, make sure the hands overlap somewhere.

Choose a colour for each hand and colour in the areas that don't overlap, then colour in the areas that do overlap in a contrasting colour. You can also colour in the background areas all the same colour, or different colours or just leave them plain.

If you're using paper hand shapes, can you weave the fingers so they overlap before sticking them down?
Hand doodle

For this activity, just draw around your hand, split it into sections and do a different style of doodle in each one. Use different colours to make it bright, or why not try doing all the same colour?

Show us your handy art! Post a picture in the facebook comments or send to admin@walterhalls.nottingham.sch.uk
